By air you can travel via Oslo Gardermoen to Bodø Airport and then continue by plane to Svolvær or Leknes Airport, both in Lofoten. Alternatively you can fly to Harstad/Narvik-Evenes Airport directly from Oslo, then take a bus to Svolvær where you change bus to Henningsvær. From Harstad/Narvik-Evenes Airport and from Leknes, we recommend that you rent a car.

Bodø-Svolvær and Bodø-Leknes are only operated by Widerøe.

Svolvær Helle Airport is the closest airport by car. This is a small airport only served by Widerøe-flights.
Harstad/Narvik-Evenes Airport is approx. 3 hours drive from Henningsvær. There are buses from the Airport to Svolvær, and from Svolvær to Henningsvær.
Leknes Airport is 1 hour by car from Henningsvær. This is also a small airport only served by Widerøe-flights.
The coastal cruiser (Hurtigruten) sails from Bergen to Kirkenes with a fleet of 11 ships. It has two daily stops in Svolvær, northbound and southbound.
From Bodø you can go by the Coastal cruiser (Hurtigruten) or Express boat to Svolvær.
You can go by train (NSB) from Oslo to Bodø. But no further, this is as far north as the Norwegian railroad goes. Narvik is accessible by train via Sweden. From Narvik there is an express bus service to Lofoten (Lofotenekspressen).
